I realised I hadn't officially announced anything yet with regards to my commentary plans in 2024, but before we know it, it's race week for the 2024 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship, and yours truly will be back on English commentary duties for the entire season.
The championship gets under way from Misano in Italy this coming weekend, with a fierce entry list once again set to do battle at the technical venue. Norbert Kiss comes into the season with five titles to his name, aiming to equal the great Jochen Hahn on six. Familiar names from the truck racing world return to the European stage with the likes of Luke Garrett and Oly Janes appearing throughout the campaign, too, which will be great to see.
There's been some slight changes to the regulations regarding the trucks and bodywork modifications too, which may give us a different dynamic as the championship unfolds.
I will once again be commentating on-site for some of the race meetings, currently planned to be the Nurburgring in July, followed by Le Mans and Jarama in September and October respectively. Unfortunately that means I won't be there for the season opener, but even still I will feel the excitement and buzz from my office at home.
The whole championship and the people within always bring such a great party atmosphere with them and I'm super excited to get amongst it again in 2024.
Thanks again to the wonderful people behind the series and Wige Solutions, who provide the broadcasting, for having faith in me for another year and being so accommodating to my needs. It's going to be a brilliant season and I hope anyone watching along from home enjoys the racing and my commentary.
