The time has come for another new special event from Sim Racing Magazine and Chaz Draycott Media, as a prelude to the upcoming Sim Racing Magazine GT4 Challenge's fifth season.
We're bringing back the GT4 cars again for debutants to get used to our usual crop of drivers - as well as the machines themselves - for a 250km endurance race at Laguna Seca - the Californian 250!
Thanks to the latest iRacing Season 3 Update, GT4 cars are now rain-enabled, so throughout the event there will be a threat of rain, determined by the sim, with the parameters set simply so it's likely to involve showers.
Entries open to Season 4 GT4 Challenge drivers and SRM GT4 Winter Tour entrants at 19:00BST on Thursday the 6th of June. with public entries opening at 19:00BST on Saturday the 8th of June.
Thanks must go out to Crockery Direct, Orris Digital and Derbyshire Holiday Homes for sponsoring this event, and their continued support for the work we do.
The rulebook for the event can be found here.
With the start of the Sim Racing Magazine GT4 Challenge less than six weeks away, things are about to ramp up again and we're all feeling really excited for it.
The event, as well as the upcoming series, will of course be broadcast live on Chaz Draycott Media.
